WPC GroupEstablished in 1982, the WPC Group is one of the largest employers of apprentices and trainees in Australia with 500 apprentices and trainees working with more than 200 host employers. It specialises in flexible employment, recruitment and training solutions for people who wish to enter an apprenticeship or traineeship. WPC Group takes care of recruitment, payroll, WorkCover, monitoring a trainee's progress, reporting on progress, disputes, managing training requirements, mentoring and accepting the trainee back if things don't work out with the employer. Established in the western suburbs of Melbourne for over 25 years, it was formed through the western region commission as the overarching body of the then nine local authorities in Melbourne's west. It's objective is to address long term youth and general unemployment throughout the region and has offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. In 2009 WPC Group launched Australia's first Your Apprentice and Trainee youth initiative. A guiding principal in engagement towards productivity with a strong focus on mentoring. |
