In 2009, the Australian Conservation Foundation and the Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action (WAGA) completed a study that quantified the greenhouse gas emissions for each local government area in Melbourne's west.
This Energy Research study, titled Towards Zero Net Emissions, is one of four modules underpinning the Werribee Plains Regional Environmental Sustainability Framework.
