Community Hubs

Community Hubs are welcoming places where migrant and refugee families, particularly mothers with young children, come to connect, share, and learn. Hubs bridge the gap between migrants and the wider community, they connect women with schools, with each other, and with organisations that can provide health, education, and settlement support. They serve as gateways that connect families with each other, with their school, and with existing services.

National Community Hubs Program is established by Community Hubs Australia Incorporated, a not-for-profit organisation that helps build social cohesion.  A coalition of philanthropic, government, community and corporate organisations fund the National Community Hubs Program and partner organisations deliver.

In Melbourne's West, there are Community Hubs located within the City of Brimbank at:

  • Deer Park North Primary School

  • Holy Eucharist Primary School in St Albans

  • St Albans Primary School

  • St Albans Heights Primary School

  • Stevensville Primary School in St Albans
