Ms Jacqui Bramwell

LeadWest's Board has two types of Director: Participating Council Nominated Directors and Elected Directors.  An Alternate Director can be appointed for each Director.

Ms Jacqui Bramwell of Deakin University was appointed as the Alternate Director for Mr Michael Mangos of Deakin University.

Ms Bramwell is Stakeholder Partnerships Manager with Deakin University; a position she has held since early 2015. Ms Bramwell has been brokering and managing Deakin’s strategic partnerships with local government and key stakeholders in Melbourne’s West, and the Riverina, NSW.

Ms Bramwell has a background in education, governance, natural resource management and stakeholder engagement. She is also a board member of Volunteer West.

Ms Bramwell was previously CEO of GELLEN, a strategic partnerships brokerage organisation. During her leadership, GELLEN become known for effectively addressing barriers through innovative local solutions created by fostering a culture of cross-sectoral collaboration. GELLEN jointly received the 2014 Victorian State Training Award - Industry Collaboration section, for a program which aligned education provision and pathways with local industry needs in the Agrifoods sector.

Ms Bramwell was the inaugural Regional Tourism and Community Partnerships Manager for Gippsland with DELWP. She was successful in attracting over $2 million into Gippsland for nature-based tourism projects, and for adapting the “UK Community Forests” model for Victoria. Ms Bramwell was also the project manager for ‘Southern Ark’, (Victoria’s largest biodiversity program) at the time of its launch and early establishment, and she lead the development of the Gippsland Reconciliation Action Plan.

Ms Bramwell is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, and has a Graduate Certificate in Australian Rural Leadership from James Cook University. She holds a Diploma of Education, a Graduate Diploma of Outdoor Education, and a Bachelor of Science from Monash University.
